

The Film Critics Association conducted its general body meeting at the Press Club in Somajiguda under the leadership of senior members Balireddy, Lakshman Rao, and Goteti Mohan, where a new executive committee was unanimously elected. Senior film journalist Prabhu was appointed as Honorary President, while senior journalist Battula Prasad was elected as President. E. Janardhan Reddy and M.D. Abdul were chosen as Vice Presidents, Suresh Kondeti as General Secretary, Parveen and Bhagavatula Murali as Joint Secretaries, and Chadalavada Bharadwaj as Treasurer. Several members, including Giridhar, Narasimha, Sai Ramesh, RDS Prakash, Naveen, Gorantla Ravi, Appaji Shyam, Chandu Ramesh, and T. Keshavachari, were elected as Executive Committee members.
Addressing the gathering, Honorary President Prabhu highlighted the association’s prestigious history since its establishment in 1969 and thanked noted producer Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao for supporting the long-standing dream of providing houses to association members. President Battula Prasad and General Secretary Suresh Kondeti emphasized their commitment to strengthening the association and supporting members through welfare initiatives and fundraising efforts. Senior members appreciated the producer’s contribution and reiterated their dedication to the growth and unity of the Film Critics Association.
