Actress Faria Abdullah, who gained recognition with ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, is currently busy with several Telugu projects and is set to make her Tamil debut with ‘Sigma’. She shared a tearful video on Independence Day addressing the issue.

The controversy reportedly began after Faria attended the Bonalu celebrations in Hyderabad and appeared in traditional attire. She said she was deeply moved by the warmth and affection she received at the festival. However, she subsequently faced criticism and hateful messages from some social media users over her participation. Explaining her family background, Faria said her parents came from different religious backgrounds and that she was taught to focus on the positive values of her faith.
