Director Praneeth Pattipati has expressed happiness over the positive response to his sports drama Patang, stating that audiences are thoroughly enjoying the film in theatres. He said the appreciation and congratulatory messages he has been receiving feel like a true reward for his hard work. Presented by veteran producer D. Suresh Babu, the film is produced by Rishan Cinemas and Monsoon Tales, with Vijay Shekhar Anne, Sampath Maka, Suresh Kothinti, and Nani Bandreddy as producers. Since its release, Patang has been winning hearts as a youthful entertainer and is being hailed by audiences as one of the best films in recent times.
Speaking to the media, Praneeth revealed that both collections and word-of-mouth have been steadily growing, with viewers enjoying the stadium-like experience during the kite competition sequences. He shared that extensive CG work, which took nearly two years, caused the film’s delay, but the makers never compromised on quality. Praising the unwavering support of the producers, he said their commitment made the film visually rich and colorful. Despite limited theatres due to the festive season, Patang is witnessing packed houses wherever it is screening, and the director is confident that the film’s overseas release on January 1 will further expand its reach.
