Director Suman Babu alleged that a shot from the trailer of his upcoming film Erra Cheera – The Beginning was copied in Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s film Bhoot Bangla. Interacting with print and digital media ahead of the film’s release, he said Erra Cheera is a unique blend of mother sentiment, horror, and action, inspired by a real-life incident. The film, produced by Sri Padmayala Entertainments and Sri Suman Venkatadri Productions, is set for a grand theatrical release on February 6.
Suman Babu revealed that distributors and censor board members who watched the film praised its content, especially the interval block and climax. Though production wrapped in 37 days, delays occurred due to extensive CG work aimed at achieving high visual standards. Calling it a lady-oriented yet complete family entertainer, he announced special promotional offers in B and C centers, including lucky draws gifting sarees to audiences. He also confirmed plans for a sequel Ambika (Erra Cheera-2) and a new romantic comedy titled Ramuda? Krishnuda?.
