

The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce elections held in Hyderabad concluded peacefully, with a voter turnout of 43 percent. A total of 1,417 votes were polled. Vote counting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM, and the results are expected to be announced by 6:00 PM. The outcome has generated heightened interest across film industry circles.
With election heat intensifying in Film Nagar, the entire industry closely followed the process. The elections, held on December 28, 2025, witnessed sharp exchanges between small and big producers, reflecting differing viewpoints on the future direction of Tollywood. Industry observers believe the results will have a significant impact on the Telugu film industry’s future.
Two major panels contested the elections — the Progressive Panel and the Mana Panel. The Progressive Panel received strong backing from leading producers Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, and Dil Raju, while the Mana Panel was fully supported by Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, C. Kalyan, and Prasanna Kumar. With both sides enjoying solid support, the contest turned highly competitive, and the results are expected to influence key policies and decisions within the Film Chamber.
