Dune: Part Three has created a new record for advance bookings at BFI IMAX, the UK’s largest cinema screen. The film sold 33,000 tickets within the first 24 hours of advance sales, generating approximately £880,000 in gross revenue. This marks the highest first-day presale performance in the venue’s history. Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster The Odyssey previously held the record, earning around £750,000 during its first 24 hours of advance bookings. The latest figures indicate strong anticipation for the next instalment of the Dune franchise.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part Three follows Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, as he faces the consequences of his rule. Former allies return, dangerous new threats emerge, and betrayal casts a shadow over his journey. The film also features Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Robert Pattinson and Florence Pugh in key roles. With its impressive advance sales at BFI IMAX, the film has generated significant excitement ahead of its release. It remains to be seen whether this early demand will translate into similar success at the global box office.
