Achieving stardom is a milestone for any actor, but sustaining it depends largely on choosing the right scripts. While many actors struggle to assess a film’s potential at the scripting stage, South heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan has consistently demonstrated sharp judgement in this crucial area. His recent film choices and bold rejections highlight his ability to look beyond big names and evaluate content with clarity.
Dulquer notably opted out of high-profile projects such as Indian 2, Thug Life, and Parasakthi, decisions that drew criticism at the time. However, with all these films failing at the box office, the actor now stands vindicated. Despite offers to play key roles under legendary directors Shankar and Mani Ratnam, Dulquer trusted his instincts and walked away. As the rejected films met the same fate commercially, his choices are now being viewed as a learning curve for the industry. Dulquer will next be seen in the Telugu romantic drama Aakasamlo Oka Tara, directed by Pavan Sadineni.
