Following the announcement of Drishyam 3, one major question has been circulating among audiences—will the film release simultaneously in all languages? While the Malayalam version’s shoot is already underway, there is still no clear information regarding the other versions.
Produced by Aashirvad Movies, the film’s worldwide theatrical and digital rights have been sold. Leading distribution company Panorama Studios has acquired the release rights of Drishyam 3, giving the industry some clarity on the film’s release plans.
Possible Simultaneous Release in Malayalam and Hindi
Panorama Studios reportedly purchased the rights for ₹160 crore. Based on this, both the Malayalam and Hindi versions may release simultaneously. However, since the rights have shifted, the Malayalam release might face a slight delay as the shooting schedule may need adjustments.
The Hindi version has not yet reached its final schedule, with reports suggesting that shooting may begin in December. The Telugu version, starring Venkatesh, is facing scheduling issues as he is currently busy shooting a family entertainer with Trivikram Srinivas.
Telugu Version Likely to Begin Soon
Once Jeethu Joseph completes the Malayalam shoot, he is expected to begin work on the Telugu version. The previous films in the franchise—Drishyam and Drishyam 2—starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, were massive box-office hits. Centered around an unexpected crime within a family, the series has already grossed over ₹240 crore. The third installment is now one of the most anticipated films across industries.
