After The Raja Saab, director Maruthi is reportedly preparing to return to the comedy genre that has been one of his strengths. Rather than opting for a big-budget production with established stars, he is said to be planning a film featuring newcomers. The project is expected to follow a distinctive comedy concept, drawing inspiration from the style of his earlier films Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Mahanubhavudu, in which the protagonist’s unusual weakness plays a key role in driving the humour.
Maruthi reportedly believes that a strong script and well-developed characters can entertain audiences even without a star-studded cast. According to industry reports, filming is expected to begin in November, with the team aiming to complete the project by March next year. His attempt to bring back his signature comedy style has generated interest in Tollywood. However, the film’s title, cast and other production details have not yet been officially announced.
