Diljit’s Acting for Just ₹1?

While several star actors are commanding huge remunerations, popular actor Diljit Dosanjh has surprised the film industry by accepting just ₹1 for his role in the film ‘Satluj’. Director Honey Trehan recently revealed this interesting detail, stating that Diljit gave more importance to the character and story than financial benefits. His decision has earned appreciation from fans and film personalities.

The film is based on the life story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, with Diljit portraying the lead role. According to Honey Trehan, Diljit felt it would not be appropriate to charge money for playing such an inspirational personality. However, due to contractual requirements, he accepted only ₹1 as remuneration. The director also praised Diljit’s dedication and commitment during the shoot.
