Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh opened on a decent note at the box office but has shown a concerning trend early in its run. The film collected a solid ₹52 crore gross (₹34.5 crore share) on Day 1, meeting expectations to an extent, but not delivering an extraordinary opening considering the massive pre-release hype. However, Day 2 witnessed a steep decline, with collections dropping to ₹16.35 crore gross (₹9.45 crore share), taking the total to ₹68.35 crore gross in two days.
This sharp fall is being viewed as a negative sign by trade analysts, especially for a star-driven mass entertainer that typically depends on strong weekend momentum. Adding to the pressure, Dhurandhar 2 is gearing up for its Telugu release, which could impact the film’s performance in key markets. With rising competition and declining footfalls, the film now heavily relies on positive word of mouth over the weekend to sustain its box office run, failing which it may face a disappointing outcome.
