A new chapter has been written in Indian cinema history as Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise has created a record-breaking storm at the global box office. The franchise has become the first Indian film series to enter the ₹3000 crore club worldwide, achieving this remarkable feat with just two films. The first installment, released on December 5, 2025, started on a slow note but gained momentum due to strong content and Ranveer Singh’s powerful performance, eventually crossing ₹1000 crore globally with ₹1307.35 crore collections.
The sequel, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, exceeded expectations by collecting over ₹1763 crore worldwide as of April 13, setting a new benchmark as the first Hindi film to cross ₹1000 crore net in India. The film also surpassed the collections of Pushpa 2 and is on track to overtake Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. With a combined total of ₹3070 crore, the Dhurandhar franchise has outperformed major franchises, proving that strong storytelling and high-energy performances can redefine box office success even without support from markets like China and the Gulf.
