Jabardasth comedian Venu Yeldandi became an overnight star director with his debut film Balagam. The movie was produced by Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha under Dil Raju Productions and presented by Sireesh. After the film’s big success, Dil Raju gave Venu another opportunity. Continuing with the same banner, Venu started his second film titled Ellamma.
The story of Ellamma was first narrated to Nani, who initially agreed to do the film. However, he later officially announced that he had stepped away from the project. After Nani’s exit, the film moved between several actors, including Sharwanand, Nithin and Bellamkonda Srinivas. Eventually, music director Devi Sri Prasad was finalized as the hero. Devi has been wanting to make his acting debut as a lead hero for a long time, and Ellamma is expected to fulfill that dream. However, the makers have not yet made an official announcement about the casting.
Recently, director Venu shared an update about the film. He officially announced that the Ellamma glimpse will be released on January 15. Thanking the audience for the love shown to Balagam, Venu said he would cherish those memories for a lifetime. He also requested viewers to support Ellamma with the same love and encouragement.
