Rocking Star Manchu Manoj’s upcoming pan-India film David Reddy had its glimpse launched grandly in Hyderabad, creating strong buzz among fans. Set in a British-era backdrop between 1897 and 1922, the film is a large-scale period action drama directed by debutant Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti and produced by Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri. Made in five languages, the film stars Maria Ryaboshapka as the female lead, with Ravi Basrur composing the music and Supreme Sundar choreographing the action. The team emphasized that the glimpse shows only a tiny portion of the film’s intense content and scale.
Speaking at the event, Manchu Manoj described David Reddy as the perfect comeback film and called it a “full meals feast” for his fans. Portraying a fierce warrior who believes freedom must be taken by force, Manoj said the character fights both the British and oppressive forces within India. He praised the director’s vision, the producers’ commitment to quality, and the strong technical team backing the project. The film promises powerful action, emotional depth, and a bold fictional story inspired by real historical incidents, positioning David Reddy as a true pan-India cinematic experience.
