After producing unique films like Colour Photo and the blockbuster Bedurulanka 2012, Ravindra Banerjee Muppaneni of Loukya Entertainments is back with another interesting film titled “Dhandoraa”. The movie, directed by Muralikanth, features Shivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, Mounika Reddy, Bindu Madhavi, Radhya and Aditi Bhavaraju in key roles. The film is set to release on December 25 on a grand scale.
During the film’s promotions, director Muralikanth shared details about Dhandoraa. He revealed that he hails from Medak and had been working in the U.S. before deciding to follow his passion for cinema. He wanted to make a concept-based film that reflects social inequalities, leading him to create Dhandoraa. The film focuses on how a person’s burial becomes a community issue, exploring religious and social discrimination. Muralikanth clarified that although Balagam also deals with a death-related theme, Dhandoraa is entirely different — it runs from a person’s death until their cremation. He added that every character in the film has importance and connects to Shivaji’s role, while Bindu Madhavi’s character will surprise audiences as a strong woman who drives the story forward. Speaking about the title, Muralikanth said they initially planned to name the movie Antima Yatra, but the producer wanted something powerful and energetic, leading to the final title Dhandoraa.
He concluded, “When audiences watch Dhandoraa, they’ll be surprised by the story and deeply moved by the background score composed by Mark K.Robin. The screenplay is engaging and viewers will walk out of the theatre with an emotional and satisfying experience.”
