Controversy Over Irumudi?

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, directed by Siva Nirvana, has been receiving a positive response following its release. However, the film has now come under criticism over certain scenes involving government schools and teachers. The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation has raised objections, alleging that the film portrays the government education system and teaching community in a negative manner.

The federation stated that teachers, who play an important role in guiding society, should not be portrayed negatively. It has particularly objected to the way the teacher character is presented in the film. APTF representatives also questioned the use of a government school setting in scenes involving a female teacher, along with students being shown wearing uniforms currently used in Andhra Pradesh government schools.

According to the federation, these scenes could affect the reputation of the government education system. APTF leaders have demanded the immediate removal of the allegedly objectionable scenes and warned that they may launch protests if their concerns are not addressed. They have also urged the censor board and concerned authorities to look into the matter. It remains to be seen how the Irumudi team will respond to these allegations.
