Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has faced action from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over alleged unauthorised construction at his bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu area. Civic officials have reportedly demolished part of the construction, stating that the work continued despite an earlier notice directing that it be stopped. The property is located in the Kapol Cooperative Housing Society and reportedly spans 7,802 square feet. The civic body said construction-related alterations had been carried out at the bungalow without the required permissions.
According to the officials, the work included the construction of partition walls, modifications to windows and other structural changes. The BMC had issued a notice on September 10, directing that the work be halted and asking for the relevant approval documents to be submitted. Officials subsequently found that the construction had continued and proceeded with demolition action against the allegedly unauthorised portions. The development highlights the civic body's enforcement of building regulations in Mumbai. Further details about the extent of the demolition and any response from Ajay Devgn or his representatives have not been provided in the supplied report.
