Cinema Percentage Dispute Settled with Chiranjeevi Intervention

The long standing dispute over the percentage based revenue model in the Telugu film industry has been resolved with the intervention of actor Chiranjeevi. Exhibitors have decided that films releasing after June 30 will follow the percentage based system, bringing clarity to the ongoing issue.

Under the new arrangement, a 7.5% share will be provided to exhibitors when ticket prices are increased. The film Peddi will continue its exhibition under the rental model. Telangana exhibitors conveyed their decision to Chiranjeevi, who advised them to follow the Film Chamber committee report, helping both sides reach a consensus.
