CID Probe Continues in Online Betting App Promotions Case

The investigation by the CID Special Investigation Team into celebrities who promoted online betting applications is ongoing. As part of the probe, actor Manchu Lakshmi, Ritu Chowdhary, and Bhayya Sunny Yadav appeared before CID officials at the Lakdikapul office in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Sources said the three were questioned separately for nearly two hours. The inquiry reportedly focused on the earnings generated through the promotion of betting apps and the agreements entered into with the respective companies.

Officials also examined details related to remuneration received for endorsements, contract terms, and whether proper legal clearances were obtained before promoting such platforms. Further questioning of other individuals linked to the case is likely as the investigation progresses.
