Megastar Chiranjeevi has strongly condemned the misuse of Artificial Intelligence to create obscene and degrading videos targeting women. Taking to X, he said such acts are deeply disturbing and should not be dismissed as entertainment or taken lightly. He stressed that the issue is not limited to any particular individual or film, as anyone could potentially become a victim of such misuse. Chiranjeevi called for those creating and deliberately circulating such content to be held legally accountable.
Chiranjeevi also proposed discussions with the Telugu Film Chamber, Producers Council and other affiliated film bodies to form a dedicated committee to address AI-related abuse. He suggested that the committee work with cybercrime authorities to support victims, facilitate the removal of objectionable content and pursue legal action against those responsible. He urged the entire Telugu film fraternity, along with artists, technicians, audiences and fans, to work together against AI misuse. He also appealed to people not to watch, share or repost such videos and instead report them to the concerned platforms and cybercrime authorities. His comments come amid outrage over an AI-morphed video involving the song ‘Chuttamalle’ from Devara, with NTR also calling for legal action against those responsible.
