Chandra Siddhartha’s New Film Gets Telugu Cinema’s Longest Title

Director Chandra Siddhartha, known for films such as ‘Aa Naluguru’, ‘Madhumasam’, ‘Andari Bandhuvaya’, ‘Idhi Sangathi’ and ‘Aatagadara Siva’, is coming up with a new experimental psychological thriller titled ‘Ee Paata Korinavaru Nemalipalem Nundi Rama, Jyotsna, Nandu, Murali, Kabir, Dhol Ravi Modalaguvaaru’. The film carries the subtitle ‘A Forbidden Raga from a Forbidden Saga’ and is produced by Chandra Siddhartha under the Filmotsav banner. Based on a story by late filmmaker-writer Madan, the film introduces Harsha as the lead actor, with Amaira Goswami, Sujana Reddy, Inaya Sultana, Ravi Varma, Ashokvardhan and Rekha Nirosha in key roles. The film is scheduled to release on September 18.

Described as the first mystery musical of its kind, the film explores the connection between sound, music and the human brain. Elements such as sound therapy, brain mapping, memories, guilt and love are woven into a mystery driven narrative. Chandra Siddhartha revealed that the film carries what he considers the longest title in Indian cinema because the story revolves around a song that is broadcast from a radio station every night at exactly 10:30 PM and repeatedly requested by people from Nemalipalem. The project was planned with his late friend Madan and was among the final films Madan had conceived. With four songs composed by J Rex, the film aims to offer audiences a distinctive cinematic experience through its blend of music, neuroscience and psychological mystery.
