Champion, starring Meka Roshan and Anaswara Rajan, has been generating strong hype with its vibrant and engaging promotional content. The teaser effectively captures the essence of British India in the 1940s, showcasing the journey of a local Hyderabadi footballer with the dream of meeting Queen Elizabeth. Director Pradeep Advaitam appears to be presenting the story with a powerful and compelling vision.
The makers have now unveiled the first look of the leading lady, introducing Anaswara Rajan as Chandrakala, along with the first single, Gira Gira. Composer Mickey J. Meyer beautifully blends traditional Indian elements to portray the rural beauty of India through his music. Visually, the film promises a spellbinding experience with striking frames and rich aesthetics.
The chemistry between Meka Roshan and Anaswara Rajan is portrayed with charm, especially the lively nature of Chandrakala influencing Roshan’s character. Anaswara looks stunning as a Telugu village belle, while Roshan impresses with his energy and screen presence. Ram Miriyala’s vocals and Kasarla Shyam’s lyrics elevate the emotional feel of the song. The production values, which recreate pre-independence India, are exceptional. Producers Priyanka Dutt and Umesh K. Bansal showcase their refined taste in bringing this touching tale to life. Champion is set to release on 25th December 2025.
