The upcoming Telugu film Champion, produced by Swapna Cinemas, has created strong buzz with its compelling promotional content. The film stars Roshan and Anaswara Rajan in the lead roles and is directed by Pradeep Advaitham. Presented by Zee Studios, the movie is jointly produced by Anandhi Art Creations and Concept Films. With chart-topping songs composed by Mickey J Meyer, Champion is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 25.
Set in the backdrop of 1948, the film blends action, drama, and war elements on a grand scale, drawing inspiration from historical references linked to Bairanpally village. Addressing the media, Roshan explained that a fictional character was created to narrate the story while staying rooted in history. He highlighted the extensive research, workshops, and attention to detail undertaken by the director and producers to authentically recreate the period, adding that the film carries strong emotional depth with every character having a clear purpose.
Roshan also expressed happiness over the praise he received from Ram Charan at the trailer launch, calling it a special and encouraging moment. He revealed that the three-year gap in his career was a conscious decision aimed at personal growth and maturity as an actor. Speaking about his role, he said he trained rigorously, learned a proper Hyderabadi dialect, and performed demanding action sequences, even sustaining injuries during shooting. Describing Champion as a transformative journey, Roshan said audiences will witness a completely new side of him and experience a powerful, emotionally engaging film on the big screen.
