

Chai Bisket has made a sensational entry into the digital entertainment space with the grand launch of India’s first regional short-series OTT platform, Chai Shots. Designed specifically for smartphone audiences, the platform features premium, vertical, scripted episodes under two minutes, offering an innovative “third screen” experience. Backed by Info Edge Ventures and General Catalyst, Chai Shots aims to bring structured, high-quality stories to viewers, moving away from endless scrolling and making content creation more accessible for talented storytellers across India.
The platform introduces two major initiatives for creators: a “Creator Gateway” portal allowing direct pitch-to-live execution within 45 days, and a ₹20 crore Creator Fund to produce original shows with over 200 creators in the coming months. Actor-producer Rana Daggubati, along with other angel investors including Swiggy and RedBus founders, participated in the launch, praising the platform for empowering creators and promising cinematic-quality content. Chai Shots is set to expand to Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, and Assamese soon, making high-quality regional short-form entertainment accessible nationwide.
