Yash’s pan-India film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ has been mired in controversies even before its release. The National Christian Federation has reportedly raised objections to the religious scenes in the film. They have demanded that the controversial scenes be removed and the film crew apologize, especially alleging that the depiction of St. Michael of Christianity is shown as objectionable.
At the same time, the Karnataka Women’s Commission has also raised objections to some bold scenes in the teaser. It seems that the censor board is likely to scrutinize the film strictly before its release as several complaints have been received by the government and film authorities.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film stars Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in important roles. The ongoing controversy surrounding the film, which is set to release on March 19, has become a topic of discussion in the industry.
