Romantic drama ‘Chand Mera Dil’, starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, has landed in the spotlight even before its release due to major censor cuts. Reports suggest that the Central Board of Film Certification objected to several intimate and romantic scenes in the film, including a lip-lock sequence between the lead pair.
According to Bollywood sources, nearly 96 seconds of romantic content were removed before the film received a UA 16+ certificate. Directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Karan Johar, the movie is said to explore love, emotions and modern relationships. While some social media users feel the cuts were excessive, others believe the board made the right decision for family audiences.
