Cannes-Screened “Balan – The Boy” Gears Up for Massive Pan-India Release

“Balan – The Boy,” jointly produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, is all set for a grand worldwide theatrical release on June 19 in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages. The film is directed by Chidambaram, who earned nationwide acclaim with the blockbuster “Manjummel Boys,” while the story is penned by “Aavesham” fame director Jithu Madhavan. Venkat K. Narayana and Shylaja Desai Fenn are bankrolling this prestigious project.

Leading production and distribution house Annapurna Studios has acquired the theatrical distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The makers expressed happiness over collaborating with the reputed banner for the film’s release across the Telugu states. “Balan – The Boy” has already gained pan-India attention after being screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France, where it received an encouraging response. With rooted storytelling blended with universal emotions, director Chidambaram is said to have crafted a compelling theatrical experience for audiences worldwide.
