The Raja Saab, starring Prabhas, is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival. With several other family entertainers releasing during the same period, including Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Ravi Teja’s Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, and Sharwanand’s Nari Nari Naduma Murari, the competition is fierce. The Raja Saab, a horror comedy entertainer, aims to stand out by combining festive fun with Prabhas’ long-awaited return to full-fledged entertainment. While the genre fits the Sankranthi mood, the film must deliver strong content to match or exceed the appeal of its contemporaries.
So far, promotional materials including a teaser, trailer, and one song have been released, generating moderate impact but not creating sustained nationwide buzz. The team plans to release a second single, a melody, which could go viral across social media. Extensive outdoor promotions, interviews, and media interactions are expected to boost visibility. With a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar, and music by Thaman S, the film seeks to leverage its early Sankranthi release to achieve a strong opening across India.
