Businessman Bobby Chemmanur has publicly apologised to Malayalam actress Honey Rose over the controversy surrounding his alleged objectionable remarks against her. In a Facebook post, he admitted that his comments had hurt Honey Rose and her family and expressed sincere regret. Bobby stated that he never intended to insult or humiliate anyone and accepted full responsibility for the impact of his remarks. He also appealed to the actress to withdraw the criminal case filed against him.
According to reports from the Malayalam film industry, Honey Rose has acknowledged the apology, stating that the issue might not have escalated had he apologised earlier. However, she said the decision on whether to withdraw the complaint would be taken after consulting her family. The controversy began after Honey Rose accused Bobby Chemmanur of making repeated sexually suggestive and derogatory remarks, leading to his arrest in January 2025 under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act.
