As the film Biker—starring Sharwanand as the lead—gears up to hit theaters this week, the filmmakers have just released a behind-the-scenes "making-of" video. Directed by Abhilash Reddy, this motocross racing movie features Dr. Rajasekhar in a pivotal role, while Malavika Nair appears as the female lead. The making-of video for the film—which is slated for release on April 3rd—showcases racing sequences that promise to deliver a thrilling experience.
Sharwanand underwent rigorous training to portray the character of a bike racer. He shed nearly 23 kilograms and underwent specialized racing training for several months. To ensure an authentic feel for the film's action sequences, they were filmed alongside professional racers. The team dedicated over two months to shooting these racing scenes, which were filmed on location in Indonesia. Notably, the production team commissioned the custom design of two-stroke bikes reminiscent of the 1990s era.
This sports-action film also places significant emphasis on the emotional dynamics between a father and son. Playing the role of the protagonist's father, Rajasekhar’s character highlights the narrative theme that the sport of racing has yet to receive its due recognition within the country. A unique aspect of the post-production process was the decision to add the background score and complete the final edit *after* the sound design had been finalized. The film is set to be released in Dolby, Epic, 4DX, and PCX formats.
