A significant development has emerged in the case involving Kumbh Mela viral sensation Monalisa. The Kerala High Court granted one month of transit bail to her husband, Mohammed Furman, observing that Monalisa could be considered a major based on available records. The case was filed after her parents alleged that she was a minor and had been misled into marriage.
During the hearing, the court examined documents including a birth certificate, voter ID, and bank passbook, which reportedly indicated her date of birth as January 1, 2008. Based on these records, the court observed that she could be treated as a major. It also rejected arguments that the birth certificate was fabricated and granted interim relief to Furman.
