After winning over Telugu audiences with ‘Premalu’, director Girish A.D. returns with ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju. The film revolves around Ashley and Justin, whose relationship develops despite a significant age difference. Rather than relying on a complicated storyline, the director keeps the narrative fresh with realistic characters, natural humour and charming romantic moments. The early scenes showing Ashley and Justin bonding through music and old audio cassettes are particularly endearing.
The second half introduces more drama when their relationship comes to the attention of their families. The parallel romance involving Justin’s younger brother adds plenty of humour and entertaining moments. Although the pre-climax feels slightly stretched, the emotionally satisfying ending brings the story together well. Nivin Pauly delivers a natural performance as Justin, while Mamitha Baiju impresses as Ashley with her expressions and convincing performance. Their chemistry is one of the film’s biggest strengths. Vishnu Vijay’s music and Ajmal Sabu’s cinematography further enhance the experience. Overall, ‘Bethlehem Kudumba Unit’ is a feel-good romantic entertainer that blends humour, emotion and a refreshing love story.
