

The Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) hosted the grand awards ceremony of the Batukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge on Monday at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad. Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with Tourism, Culture and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, attended as chief guests and presented cash prizes of ₹3 lakh, ₹2 lakh, and ₹1 lakh in the Short Film and Batukamma Video categories, along with consolation awards.
Addressing the gathering, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy described the initiative as a proud moment for Telangana, stating that the People’s Government under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had created a unique platform for young filmmakers to creatively showcase government welfare schemes. He praised the participants for acting as a bridge between the government and the people, especially highlighting the talent from rural areas, and encouraged the winners to continue shaping Telangana’s future through their artistic vision. The event was attended by TFDC Chairman Dil Raju, MD CH Priyanka, and several prominent filmmakers, artists, and young creators.
