Awareness Campaign Launched with ‘The India Story’

Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade have launched the #WhatsOnYourPlate awareness campaign in connection with their upcoming film ‘The India Story’. The initiative aims to raise awareness about food safety, pesticide use, and the quality of daily consumption. Kajal shared a photo of her meal, questioning whether the food on our plates is truly safe, while Shreyas encouraged people to be more conscious and participate in the movement.

As part of the challenge, participants are encouraged to share photos of their meals on social media and nominate others. Kajal has nominated actresses Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rakul Preet Singh to continue the campaign. ‘The India Story’, focusing on the impact of pesticide-based farming and food safety, is set for a worldwide release on July 24, 2026. The campaign aims to extend the film’s message beyond cinemas into everyday life.
