Arun Rayadurgam: Actor born in theatre
For actor Arun Rayadurgam, cinema is not just about acting - it is a continuation of the discipline he learnt in theatre. With his debut film 1990's now coming to the Telugu audience, Arun's story reflects his perseverance, guidance, and constant love for acting.
The theater was his first training ground. Over the years, he acted in tough roles and made himself a serious actor. At the heart of this journey is Nassar - one of the most respected actors in the world of Indian cinema. Nasar sir not only guided but also gave Arun the opportunity to act in plays written and composed by him. It was his encouragement that played a key role in Arun's development.
Arun's relationship with Nassar went beyond the stage. Arun was chosen to play the lead in a Tamil film composed by the veteran actor himself. Although the film was not released after completion, the experience was a valuable lesson for Arun and further strengthened his belief in his path.
Apart from theatre, Arun has gained experience by acting as a character artist in a few Kannada films. He became a hero in the 1990s. Arun, an engineer by profession, studied computer science at Sathyabama University in Chennai and worked at HCL Technologies, Bengaluru, for a few years. Later, Balu trained at the Mahendra Film Institute and completely immersed himself in acting.
Coming to the Telugu audience of the 1990s today, Arun Rayadurgam stands out as a serious actor who excelled in theatre, groomed under the guidance of gurus, and carried honesty in every role.
