She is currently acting in director Ameer’s upcoming film ‘Magaali’, which revolves around the strong bond and emotions between a father and daughter. The film recently completed its pooja ceremony and is expected to begin its regular shoot soon. In a recent interview, Anishma opened up about her childhood memories and revealed her deep love for the Tamil language. She recalled that as her mother worked in another district, she and her father would often be at home together, and she would watch movies with him around 2 a.m.
Anishma said watching Vijay-starrer films such as ‘Ghilli’ and ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’ and listening to Tamil songs sparked her interest in the language. She learned to read and write Tamil while she was still in first grade. Recalling a scene from ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’ in which a character named Guru says his hometown is Guruvayur, she said she was inspired to practise writing her own hometown, ‘Kattakada’, in Tamil. Anishma added that cinema changed her life by developing a deep love for the language, which eventually became an important part of her life.
