The actress is currently playing the lead role in Mahakali from the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. Recently, she completed an important shooting schedule in Kolkata and shared an emotional note about her experience on social media.

Bhumi Shetty described the 12 days she spent in Kolkata as a roller-coaster journey. She said she explored the city during shooting breaks, interacted with local people, and learned about their culture and history. Directed by Puja Kolluru with a story by Prasanth Varma, the film is based on Indian mythology and Bengali culture. Akshaye Khanna will appear as Shukracharya, while Rohit Saraf will also play a key role in the movie.
