Akshaye Khanna is currently creating a strong buzz with his performance in the film Dhurandhar. In the first part released last December, he impressed audiences by playing a powerful villain who even overshadowed the hero. His role as Rahman Daku earned him wide appreciation and helped him gain pan-India popularity.
On his birthday, director Prashanth Varma revealed that Akshaye Khanna has completed shooting for an important role in a Telugu film. This film is part of the Prashanth Varma Cinematic Universe, where he plays the role of Shukracharya in Mahakali. The movie is directed by Pooja Kolluru and the first look of his character was already released earlier.
Though Akshaye Khanna acted in many Hindi films as a hero, he did not get much recognition at that time and stayed away from the spotlight for a while. Later, films like “Chhaava” and “Dhurandhar” brought him back into fame overnight. Prashanth Varma also praised him warmly, saying it is an honor to work with such talent. Reports suggest that around 40 more days of shooting are left and the film is likely to release in theatres next year. Actress Bhumi Shetty is playing the lead role in the film.
