Akhil Akkineni, known as one of Tollywood’s most handsome young stars, continues to impress audiences by choosing diverse scripts. However, after a series of setbacks, the actor is eagerly looking forward to delivering a solid hit. He is currently working on a new film titled Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, who gained recognition with Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. The film has generated considerable buzz among fans but has once again been postponed.
Originally slated for release on May 1, the film has now been rescheduled to June 26. The delay is said to be due to a friendly and strategic reason. With global star Ram Charan’s big-budget film Peddi set to release on April 30, the makers of Lenin decided to push their release date to ensure a solo run for the former. Annapurna Studios officially confirmed this decision, which reflects mutual respect among actors and a healthy approach within the industry.

Lenin is not just a regular rural entertainer; it revolves around the sensitive and serious issue of honour killings. Set against a rural backdrop, Akhil’s role is expected to be intense and realistic. The film features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead, while senior actor Sivaji plays a key role. Produced jointly by Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, the film is being mounted on a grand scale by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni. With its strong social theme and rural setting, Lenin is expected to be a significant milestone in Akhil’s career when it releases on June 26.
