The fourth collaboration of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Srinu, titled “Akhanda 2 – Thandavam” is generating massive expectations across the country. Their previous films—Simha, Legend, and Akhanda—were all huge blockbusters, making the duo one of the most successful actor-director combinations. With “Akhanda 2” being projected as Balakrishna’s first-ever pan-India film, the anticipation has doubled, creating a strong buzz not only in the South but also in North India.
According to trade circles, “Akhanda 2 – Thandavam” has already achieved record business in Balakrishna’s career. Reports indicate that the film has closed at around ₹150 crore in theatrical business, while the OTT rights alone have fetched about ₹85 crore. The film is being produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels banner, and Balakrishna’s younger daughter Tejaswini is presenting the film, adding more prestige and hype to the project.
Balakrishna has actively participated in the pan-India promotional campaign, boosting the film’s nationwide buzz. Promotions began in Mumbai with the release of the title song, followed by another song, “Jajikaya…” launched at Jagadamba Theatre in Visakhapatnam. The trailer was then unveiled in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka, with Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar attending as chief guest. Later, the team met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and presented a specially designed trishool. These strategic promotions have successfully created massive excitement for “Akhanda 2” across both North and South India.
