South Indian production houses are increasingly crossing language barriers by producing films across multiple industries. Leading Telugu producer Dil Raju has already ventured into Tamil and Hindi cinema, while Mythri Movie Makers producers Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni have expanded their reach even further.
Mythri Movie Makers recently produced the Tamil film “Good Bad Ugly”, starring Ajith, which became a major success and gave the actor a strong commercial comeback. The production house reportedly paid him a record remuneration of ₹165 crore. However, for his next film with the same director Adhik Ravichandran, the project is now facing financial hurdles.
AGS Entertainment, which was initially expected to produce the film, is reportedly unwilling to proceed due to the high remuneration and rising production costs. The project is now delayed as Ajith may either need to reduce his fee or collaborate with another production house willing to meet his demand.
