Abbas, who became very popular with the film Premadesam, has stayed away from acting since 2015. Fans have been waiting for his return and now he is all set to come back with a key role in the Tamil film Happy Raj. The movie will also release in Telugu on the 27th of this month.
At the trailer launch event held in Hyderabad, director Maria Raja shared interesting details about the film. He revealed that he first approached Naveen Polishetty with the story. Although Naveen liked the script and discussed it in detail, he could not accept the role due to prior commitments. Later, the role went to G. V. Prakash Kumar, who agreed to be part of the film.
The director also explained that Abbas had been waiting for a strong story to make his comeback. Even after hearing many scripts, he did not find the right one. When the story of Happy Raj was narrated to him online while he was in New Zealand, he immediately felt it was perfect for his re-entry and agreed to act. Filmmakers Venky Atluri and Shiva Nirvana attended the trailer launch and wished the film success.
