

The short film “Pedda Pitta” revolves around a village shaken by fear and superstition after a barn owl is seen repeatedly. Villagers begin believing that the bird is a bad omen linked to death, creating panic and tension across the community. As fear spreads, people from different social backgrounds react differently, revealing how superstition influences human psychology and behavior.
Directed by Balakrishna and produced under ETV Win banner, the 37-minute film features strong performances from actors including Venu Polsani, Sudhakar Reddy, and Mastan Kanumukkala. The story builds toward a moral conflict when the village head suggests sacrificing someone to end the curse. The film effectively highlights how fear can control society and questions blind beliefs with a powerful social message.
