Balancing politics and cinema simultaneously is a rare achievement, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is now set to join that exclusive list. His upcoming film 'Jana Nayagan' is gearing up for release while he continues to serve as Chief Minister, making it one of the most talked-about projects in both political and film circles. Following the legacy of leaders like M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) and N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), who released films while serving as Chief Ministers, Vijay is now poised to achieve a similar milestone. Marketed as his final film, Jana Nayagan is scheduled to hit theatres on July 24.
However, the film receiving an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board has disappointed a section of fans. The certification is also expected to affect Vijay's political party's plans to organize special screenings for children. Inspired by the Telugu blockbuster 'Bhagavanth Kesari', the film reportedly features significant changes, including a reworked second half, an enhanced antagonist track, flashback episodes, and a grand climax. With massive pre-release buzz, trade analysts expect Jana Nayagan to register record-breaking collections across Tamil Nadu and overseas markets.
