Tollywood's sensational director Ram Gopal Varma recently made sensational comments about the Bollywood star Ranveer Singh's film 'Dhurandhar'. RGV heaped praise on the film, stating that no other film in the last 50 years has generated so much discussion. Varma, who is always active on social media even though he has reduced making films, has become a hot topic in the film industry with his latest tweet.
Even though he has reduced making films, RGV responds in his own unique style to the developments in the industry, and fearlessly expresses his opinions on newly released films and web series. Responding to the film 'Dhurandhar', he commented that he feels scared just thinking about the fate of the pan-India films currently under production after watching this movie.
On this occasion, Varma also used an interesting analogy. He said, "When we go to someone's house and a dog is staring at us, even if the homeowner says it won't do anything, the fear remains. This film is similar. This dog of a film is invisibly roaming around every production office, scaring everyone. They don't even want to mention its name."
Varma opined that 'Dhurandhar' has become like a horror film for those who have been making films using the same template of graphics, lavish sets, item songs, and glorifying star heroes. He stated that others were remaining silent out of fear and jealousy, unable to meet the standards set by this film. He asserted, "There hasn't been another film in the last 50 years that has been discussed this much."
'Dhuranthar' is already creating a sensation in Bollywood with collections nearing one thousand crores. The praise it received from RGV has now sparked further discussion. These comments, made in RGV's signature style, have gone viral on social media.
