The title "Varanasi," which is associated with the eagerly awaited Rajamouli - Mahesh Babu project, has given rise to a new controversy. Director Subbareddy reportedly registered the same title with the TFPC almost two years prior. He allegedly refused the SSMB29 team's request to use the title for their movie, saying it was reserved for his own next project. Both teams are currently in an awkward situation as a result of this unexpected clash.
To bolster his claim, Subbareddy reportedly went to the TFPC office and formally stated his intention to keep the title. To further complicate matters, Rajamouli's close associates claim that the title "Varanasi" has already been registered in the Telugu Film Chamber under a different production unit. The problem has grown more complex than anticipated as a result of contradicting information from both sides.
Fans and industry insiders are interested in how this issue will play out as the argument over who should be the legitimate owner of the title heats up. Will the conflict be settled amicably or will it worsen and affect the release of the title for the Rajamouli -Mahesh Babu movie? As the industry awaits clarification, all eyes are currently on the official response from the Film Chamber and TFPC.
