Recently, rumours about actress Mrunal Thakur getting married to actor Dhanush went viral on social media. Responding to these reports, Mrunal issued a clear statement through her official X (Twitter) account. She firmly denied the marriage rumours and requested people not to spread such false news anymore.

In her post, Mrunal said, “Dhanush has always been like a brother to me. What we share is only mutual respect and professional understanding, nothing more”. She also questioned why people are more interested in creating stories about a woman’s personal life instead of recognising her hard work and journey.

Mrunal explained that her silence should not be misunderstood and that her personal life does not need public approval. She spoke about the many auditions, rejections and long struggles that brought her to where she is today. Reducing that journey to a rumour is unfair, she said. While social media gives everyone a voice, it also demands responsibility. She clearly stated once again that there is no truth in these rumours.
