The Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved a ticket price hike for the release of the movie Akhanda 2. Single-screen theaters have been allowed to increase ticket prices by Rs.75, while multiplex theaters can raise the ticket cost by Rs.100. This price hike is permitted for a period of 10 days only and has been decided considering the high demand for the film and the special premiere shows.
Specifically, for the premiere shows, the ticket price on December 4 has been set at Rs.600. The government has announced these changes to provide clarity for general audiences as well as stakeholders in the film industry. Analysts noted that the ticket price increase will help producers and theater operators receive adequate revenue while also enabling them to provide better facilities and services to the audience.
