Plastic bottles are used by almost everyone because they are light and easy to carry, especially during travel. But health experts have been warning for many years that using plastic bottles is not safe for our body. Recent research has confirmed this even more strongly.
A study by the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) in Mohali, Punjab, found that nano-plastics released from single-use PET bottles can enter our body and damage important biological systems. These particles affect gut bacteria and reduce the growth of good bacteria, which weakens the immune system.
According to the study, nano-plastics can enter the blood and damage red blood cells. They can also harm DNA and cells, leading to early cell death. These conditions can increase the risk of cancers, kidney problems, liver diseases, diabetes and obesity.
Note: If you experience any health issues such as stomach infections, allergies, unusual pain, or discomfort that may be related to plastic bottle use, consult a doctor immediately.
