Kannada superstar Yash is set to appear in Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, one of the most awaited films of 2026. After the nationwide success of the KGF series, expectations for this film are very high. The movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 19.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is being produced on a massive budget of around Rs. 500 crore under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, with Yash also involved as a producer. The movie features Rukmini Vasanth, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in key roles. Music is composed by Ravi Basrur. The title glimpse received strong attention but also led to controversies. Certain scenes, including a romantic scene in a car and action scenes shot near a graveyard, faced objections from some groups and complaints were reportedly filed with the CBFC.
Despite the controversies, the film is said to be doing record-level pre release business. Overseas rights were reportedly sold for Rs. 105 crore, while the Telugu states theatrical rights were sold for Rs. 120 crore. Trade experts believe the total business, including theatrical and non theatrical rights, may touch Rs. 1000 crore. Yash is reportedly receiving between Rs. 50 and 75 crore as remuneration and with profit sharing, his total earnings could reach around Rs. 150 crore. Earlier, Rishab Shetty was said to have received a huge remuneration for Kantara Chapter 1. Now, reports suggest that Yash may have surpassed that record. However, official confirmation is awaited.
